At Gentle Gratitude, we believe that managing your period is more than just having access to products, it’s about education, empowerment, and dignity.

Menstrual equity is the fair and just access to menstrual products, education, and the ability to manage menstruation with dignity, safety, and comfort—without barriers of cost, stigma, or lack of resources. When girls and women lack the resources, products, and knowledge to manage their menstruation safely and comfortably, it can lead to missed school days, reduced participation in activities, and a negative impact on self-esteem and health.

What is Period Management?

Period management means having the right tools and information to care for your body during your menstrual cycle. This includes:

• Access to reliable menstrual products (pads, tampons, or reusable options)
• Knowing how and when to change products to prevent discomfort or infection
• Understanding your menstrual cycle and how it affects your body
• Access to hygiene products like wipes and clean underwear
• Creating a safe, stigma-free environment to discuss periods openly

How Flow Freedom Supports Period Management

• Consistent Access to Products: We provide free menstrual products in our Flow Freedom Hubs and through our 3-month supply kits, so no one has to go without.
• Education and Awareness: In partnership with reproductive health educators, we offer lessons and resources about menstrual health, hygiene, and self-care.
• Empowerment Through Choice: We respect each person’s preferences by offering a range of product options—disposable and reusable—so they can choose what works best for them.
• Breaking Stigma: By normalizing open conversations about periods, we help girls feel confident and supported.
