Global Acts of Gratitude

At Gentle Gratitude, our international work is rooted in menstrual equity and educational access. We believe no child should miss opportunities simply because of a lack of resources.

Disaster Relief

We stand with the community members in Jamaica as they recover from the devastating Hurricane Melissa. While they build Jamaica back piece by piece, the residents also need support with tangible resources. We’re happy to have been able to provide menstrual products to women in Woodville, Hanover Parrish and Montego Bay, but much more support is needed. We encourage you to donate to a local church or community organization that is shipping barrels to Jamaica during this time!

✨ Power to the Period Campaign

Since 2021, we’ve led our Power to the Period campaign, providing menstrual products and education to children’s homes, communities, and schools across Africa. Our impact includes:

  • Liberia (2022) – Delivered reusable pads and education to girls in the Jerusalem Community, which is a community in Monrovia where only single mothers and children reside.
  • South Africa (2022) – Hosted a giveaway for the children at the Carl Sitole Children’s Home in Soweto. Disposable and reusable menstrual products, underwear, hygiene items, rice and more!
  • Ghana (2024) – Provided the children at Teshie’s Children Home in Accra with Menstrual products, hygiene items, tin tomatoes, oil, cleaning supplies, and more. In addition, we hosted a children feeding in Osu on Oxford St.

Through this campaign, we aim to break the stigma surrounding menstruation, promote menstrual health, and ensure that every girl has the power to learn, grow, and thrive without interruption.

We also provided children in this area with pencils, crayons, and markers!

🎓Bridges to Brilliance

This year, Gentle Gratitude introduced a new initiative to expand our support for young people: providing school or graduation fees for students in Liberia, South Africa, Ghana, or Nigeria.

  • Each year, 5 students will receive funding to cover their school or graduation costs.
  • Fees typically range between $100–$150 USD per student, depending on the country.
  • This support ensures that financial barriers do not block a student’s path to success.

Help us congratulate our Senior Jacoblyn Zeon who graduated from A.T Warner High School in Monrovia, Liberia West Africa on October 18th, 2025!
